We believe that if you know where your food comes from and how to transform raw ingredients into hearty, delicious meals, you have a better foundation for a healthy life.

That's why Arla has many inspirational and educational initiatives intended to empower the current generation - and the next generation - to cook from scratch, to use nutritious, natural products, and to nurture a healthy relationship to the food they eat.

Educational initiatives
Arla has many educational initiatives that aim to encourage a healthier relationship to food. From programmes like FOOD Movers, designed to help teachers work together with their students to rethink dietary habits in schools and at home, to the Arla Foundation - a separate entity to which Arla donates money, we are always innovating new ways to inspire people to pursue a healthy life through their diet.

Farm visits
We open our farms up every year, with over 200k people visiting, so they can see where their food comes from and what an Arla dairy farm looks like.

Arla Food Camps Inspire Children

Many children are not part of the daily cooking routine at home and feel disconnected from what they eat. To improve their cooking skills and to encourage them to open their minds to more food choices, the Arla Foundation operates Food Camps as fully integrated school programs that educate and inspire students to have a better relationship with food.

Our global
ambition

  • Reach over 2 million kids through Food & Farm activities in the period 2020-2025. A child counts as being reached when Arla has had direct contact with them through on-ground activities that are either performed by Arla or through ambassadors and partnerships.
