Taco Nachos

Taco Nachos

A favourite dish for all is Taco Nachos topped with a sweet red onions. It's a dinner in one, could it be any easier?

Ingredients

Red onions

Beef mince
500 g
Butter
1 tbsp
Bag of taco spice mix
Can of Medium Sized tomato salsa

Creme fraiche
200 ml
Grated Arla® LactoFREE Cheddar
300 g
Cocktail tomatoes
250 g
Sliced pickled jalapeños
50 ml
Tortilla chips
100 g
Coarse;y Chopped Fresh ground coriander
1 handful
Vinegar
50 ml
Caster sugar
80 g
Water
150 ml

Instructions

Step 1

  • Stir vinegar, sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Peel and slice red onion thinly. Add the red onion to the vinegar mixture and leave for at least 1 hour.

Step 2

  • Heat the oven to 175 °.

Step 3

  • Fry the minced meat in butter in a frying pan about 3 minutes, add the spice mix and cook for about 2 minutes. Pour on tomato salsa and cook for about 2 minutes.

Step 4

  • Pour the mixture into an ovenproof dish. Spread about 150ml crème fraîche onto the mince. Sprinkle with cheese, chopped cherry tomatoes and jalapênos.

Step 5

  • Cook in the middle of the oven about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with nacho chips, coriander and pickled red onion.
