Shortcrust Pastry

A great versatile pastry that can include so many exciting flavours and can take many forms.

Ingredients

Cold butter
200 g
Vanilla powder
1 pinch
Caster sugar
80 g
Wheat flour
270 g

Instructions

Step 1

  • Work together with the ingredients in a food processor or in a bowl.

Step 2

  • Heat the oven to 175 °.

Step 3

  • Place the dough in a bowl or bag and leave to rest for at least 30 minutes.

Step 4

  • Flavour and bake the dough according to any recipe. The pastry will need to be baked in the middle of the oven for about 10 minutes.
