Rhubarb Tart

Rhubarb Tart

A super easy to bake festive rhubarb tart, full of delicious flavours.

Ingredients

Packs Of Frozen puff pastry
2
Vanilla quark
75 ml
Rhubarb Chunks
100 g
Almonds Paste
25 g
Egg
1
Icing sugar
tbsp

Instructions

Step 1

  • Heat the oven to 225 °.

Step 2

  • Cut each of the frozen puff pastry shapes into two and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Step 3

  • Using a sharp knife make a light incision into the pastry about 1cm from the edge.

Step 4

  • Add the quark to each of the frozen pastry shapes inside the marked lines. Now add the rhubarb and sprinkle the almonds over.

Step 5

  • Brush the edges of the pastry still showing with beaten egg. Repeat for the other puff pastry shapes.

Step 6

  • Bake in the lower part of the oven for about 12 minutes.

Step 7

  • Let the pastries cool. Sieve some icing sugar over the top of the tarts when they are cool.
