Pumpkin Muffins

Sweet pumpkin muffins are a great decoration for Halloween party. They not only look great, they are surprisingly easy to make.

Ingredients

Butter
50 g
Peeled pumpkins (cubed)
200 g
Milk
200 ml
Yeast
25 g
Natural yoghurt
100 g
Sugar
3 tbsp
Fine salt
2 tsp
Wheat flour
600 g
Whipped eggs
Walnuts

Instructions

Step 1

  • Put the pumpkin cubes in a pan of boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes, or until they are tender. Drain and blend for approximately 30 seconds - to a thick pumpkin puree.

Step 2

  • Melt the butter in a pan, add the milk and stir. Pour the mixture into a bowl and stir in the yeast. Add the pumpkin puree and the other ingredients (keep a little wheat flour back).

Step 3

  • Knead the dough well or run it for approximately 5 minutes in a dough making machine. Cover the bowl and leave the dough to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Step 4

  • After an hour take the dough out and put on a floured table and knead it thoroughly, adding the rest of the wheat flour if necessary.

Step 5

  • Divide the dough into 16 pieces and shape them into buns. Slightly flatten the buns and make 6 incisions into them. Put them on 2 baking trays lined with baking paper and leave them for approx 45 minutes.

Step 6

  • Brush with egg and put a walnut into the centre of each bun. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes and then leave to cool on a wire rack.

Baking Time

  • Approximately 15 minutes at 175 ° - hot air
