Puff Pastry Hearts With Raspberries

Lovely puff pastry hearts with sweet raspberries on a soft bed of fresh, vanilla-flavoured quark.

Ingredients

Puff pastry
275 g
Egg
1
Quark
500 g
Raspberries Or Strawberries
400 g
Icing sugar

Instructions

Step 1

  • Heat the oven to 225 C.

Step 2

  • Using a cookie cutter, cut out 12 hearts from the puff pastry. Place them on a sheet of baking paper.

Step 3

  • Brush with a beaten egg. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the pastries are a nice, golden colour.

Step 4

  • Allow them to cool and then cut off the top of the hearts to use as lids.

Step 5

  • Distribute quark on the bottom of the pastry before adding the berries and the lids on top. To finish, dust with plenty of icing sugar.
