Instructions

Poached pears

  • Mix water, sugar, lemon, vanilla, and star anise in a small pan and bring to a boil.
  • Peel pears, cut them in half, and remove the core.
  • Add pears to the pan, remove the pan from the heat and allow the pears to cool in the sugar syrup. Depending on the size of the pears, you might need to let them boil for 3-5 minutes before removing the pan from the heat.
  • Store pears with the syrup in an airtight jar in the fridge.

To serve

  • Divide skyr into 2 bowls
  • Cut each halved pear into 4 wedges and place them on top of the skyr.
  • Divide blackberries among the bowls and pour a little syrup from the pears on top.
