Mousse with Chopped Chocolate and Nuts

A light mousse made with whipped cream and milk chocolate, with crisp pieces of dark chocolate and nuts mixed in. Perfect for a party as it can be prepared in advance.

Ingredients

Whipped cream
200 ml
Milk chocolate
100 g
Egg yolks
2
Dark chocolate
50 g
Chopped hazelnuts
50 g

Instructions

Step 1

  • Whisk the cream until firm.

Step 2

  • Break the milk chocolate into pieces and melt over a water bath or in a microwave so that it becomes soft.

Step 3

  • Stirring the mixture until it melts. Milk chocolate melts faster.

Step 4

  • Beat the egg yolks in a large bowl. Add the chocolate and vigorously stir. Stir in the cream and then leave to rest.

Step 5

  • Chop the dark chocolate and nuts. Carefully fold into the mousse.

Step 6

  • Fill small glasses or cups with the mousse. Allow the mousse to solidify in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Step 7

  • Garnish with a little chopped chocolate and possibly mint.
