Mini Sausage Rolls

Everyone's favourite picnic and party snack!

Ingredients

Garlic cloves
2
Sausages or 10 Chipolata Sausages
6
Sprig fresh parsley
1
Pre-Rolled puff pastry
375 g
Spreadable (Melted)
30 g
Egg
1
Salt
1 pinch

Instructions

Step 1

  • Preheat oven to 200ºC/fan 180ºC/gas 6.

Step 2

  • Roughly chop garlic and parsley.

Step 3

  • Remove sausage meat from skins and transfer to blender.

Step 4

  • Add the garlic and parsley, then blend along with 50ml cold water to help bind. (Alternatively, mix ingredients together by hand in a mixing bowl). Add salt and pepper to season.

Step 5

  • Roll out the pastry and divide in half, lengthways, to create two pieces ready for the meat.

Step 6

  • Glaze the inside of each piece of pastry with the melted Lactofree® spreadable. Then spoon the meat mixture along the middle, leaving roughly 1cm of space on either side.

Step 7

  • Tightly roll the pastry over the meat. Further glaze the outside of the pastry with spreadable and the beaten egg, before chopping each long piece into several smaller ones.

Step 8

  • Transfer to oven and bake for 25-30 mins, or until pastry has risen and is golden brown.

Step 9

  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool, ready for your party or picnic!
