Milk Chocolate Mousse

Milk Chocolate Mousse

A mousse made with Swedish milk chocolate, a delicious treat with butter-roasted pear slices.

Ingredients

Pear
3
Caster sugar
2 tbsp
Butter
1 tbsp
Whipped cream
200 ml
Milk chocolate
100 g
Egg yolks
2
Cognac
1 tbsp

Instructions

Step 1

  • Peel the pears and cut them into slices. Sprinkle with sugar.

Step 2

  • Fry them gently in butter in a frying pan on low heat. Let the pears cool and put them in serving bowls.

Step 3

  • Beat the cream until it forms stiff peaks.

Step 4

  • Break the chocolate into pieces and melt over a water bath or in the microwave; stir until it melts. Milk chocolate quickly melts.

Step 5

  • Whisk the egg yolks in a bowl. Add the chocolate, stirring vigorously. Then stir in some of the cream and then the rest.

Step 6

  • Possibly flavour with cognac. Dollop the mousse on top of the pears.

Step 7

  • Leave the mousse in the fridge for an hour before serving.
