Made with exotic flavours like mango, fresh orange juice, and lemon juice, it has plenty of fresh fruit flavour as well as a beautiful yellow colour. Icing sugar and natural yoghurt give the smoothie a delightfully creamy and fluffy texture.

Instructions

  • Transfer the diced mango and other ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend at the highest setting for about 45 seconds or until the smoothie's texture is even.
  • Taste it and pour it into four cold glasses. Serve immediately.

Tips

The easiest way to cut and dice a mango is to first remove the two 'cheeks' by cutting around the stone in the middle. Place the mango on a cutting board with one of its ends pointing towards you. Now cut downward with a knife and guide it around the stone. Do this on the other side as well so you get two mango cheeks. 

Tips

Place one of these cheeks on a thick tea towel and use your knife to slice down the length of the fruit. Make sure not to cut through the skin. Turn the mango 90° and repeat the motion to create a criss-cross pattern. Invert the mango so the cubes of golden yellow fruit flesh pop out from the skin. Cut these cubes off by holding the cheek at a slight angle. Repeat the process with the other cheek to get your mango diced and ready for the blender.

You can prepare the mango smoothies and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or you can prepare them and freeze them in freezer bags, freezer-safe containers, or mason jars for up to 3 months.
