Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni cheese - macaroni in cheese sauce is a classic American dish, baked in the oven. Serve with a tomato salad.

Ingredients

Macaroni
300 g
Semi-skimmed milk
300 ml
Wheat flour
2 tbsp
Cooking cream
250 ml
Vegetable stock Cube
½
Ground cayenne pepper
1 pinch
Grated Arla® LactoFREE Cheddar
500 g
Chopped Fresh fresh parsley
10 g
Breadcrumbs
2 tbsp

Instructions

Step 1

  • Heat the oven to 200 °.

Step 2

  • Cook the macaroni according to the instructions on the packet.

Step 3

  • Beat the flour into the milk in a saucepan. Allow to boil whilst beating. Add cream, stock cube and pepper. Let the sauce boil for a minute.

Step 4

  • Stir in the macaroni and most of the cheese. Pour everything into a greased ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with parsley, breadcrumbs and the rest of the cheese. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes.
