Coconut Chicken

Coconut Chicken

A lightly cooked chicken stew with a lot of coconut flavour and a beautiful colour from the turmeric.

Ingredients

Chicken Pieces
1 kilo
Butter
Salt
1 tsp
Black pepper
1 pinch
Yellow onions
2
Fresh red chillies
Red pepper
1
Light coconut milk
500 ml
Grated Fresh ginger
1 tbsp
Ground ground turmeric
1 tsp
Chicken stock Cube
1
Wheat flour
1 tbsp
Natural yoghurt
200 g

Instructions

Step 1

  • Fry the chicken pieces in butter. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 20 minutes.

Step 2

  • Peel and chop the onions. Chop and remove the seeds from the chilli and pepper. Fry the vegetables in butter in a pan for a few minutes.

Step 3

  • Add coconut milk, ginger, turmeric and a stock cube. Stir the flour into the natural yogurt and stir it in the pan.

Step 4

  • Boil the sauce whilst stirring. Add the cooked chicken pieces and let boil for about 3 minutes. Season with salt.
