Cheese Pie

Cheese Pie

A classic cheese pie with a buttery dough and a tasty cheddar cheese filling. Can be enjoyed on its own or as part of a buffet table.

Ingredients

Pie case

Wheat flour
300 g
Butter
125 g
Water
2 tbsp

Filling

Eggs
3
Semi-skimmed milk
300 ml
Salt
tsp
Pepper
1 pinch
Grated Arla® LactoFREE Cheddar
150 g
Salad mix
300 g

Instructions

Step 1

  • Rub the flour and butter together to make a crumbly mixture. Add the water and work quickly together to form a dough. Roll out the dough for an oven tin 15 x 35 cm, or a round tin about 24 cm in diameter.

Step 2

  • Let rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Heat the oven to 200 °.

Step 3

  • Par-bake the pie case for about 10 minutes. Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Add the cheese and mix well.

Step 4

  • Pour the filling into the pie case and bake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes. Serve the pie with salad.
