Caramel Custard

Finish your dinner with a classic dessert! Caramel custard has the wonderful flavour of caramel and cream and it simply melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

Caster sugar
160 g
Water
75 ml
Cooking cream
500 ml
Vanilla pod
1

Instructions

Step 1

  • Melt the sugar in a dry, hot frying pan. Add the water and simmer with the melted sugar to a golden brown caramel.

Step 2

  • Immediately distribute the caramel into individual dishes.

Step 3

  • Heat the oven to 100 °.

Step 4

  • Split the vanilla pod and cook with the cream. Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl.

Step 5

  • Pour the cream into the bowl and whisk until a thick and creamy consistency. Pour into the dishes with the caramel. Cook in the middle of the oven for 45-50 minutes until the egg mixture has cooked. Let it cool.

Step 6

  • Cut with a knife around the edges and place on the plate.
