What is Arla B.O.B milk?

What does ‘B.O.B’ stand for?

B.O.B stands for Best Of Both! Why? Because that’s exactly what you get – Arla B.O.B is skimmed milk that tastes like semi skimmed. So you can enjoy the great taste of semi skimmed milk with the fat free benefits of skimmed.

Is Arla B.O.B milk filtered?

Yes, Arla B.O.B is filtered for freshness, just like Arla Cravendale. This means the milk is processed through a fine filtration process to remove bacteria which allows it to stay fresher for longer.

Why is the shelf life of Arla B.O.B so long?

During the milk filtration process, the bacteria usually found in ‘regular’ milk is removed which allows Arla B.O.B to stay fresher for a longer period. There’s absolutely no additives or preservatives – just pure, great tasting milk.

Are there any additives or preservatives?

Nope – there are no additives or preservatives in Arla B.O.B milk! It’s fresh cow’s milk that has been filtered for a longer lasting shelf life and fresh taste.

Can I cook with Arla B.O.B milk?

Why does it taste like semi-skimmed milk?

Once the skimming process has taken place, we add the natural milk protein back into Arla B.O.B to give it its great flavour without the added fat.

What is the protein that’s added to Arla B.O.B?

The added protein is a naturally occurring protein found in cows milk. During the milk production process, the fat and protein are separated from the milk to be added in again to form whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed projects. For Arla B.O.B we just add the protein back in and not the fat so you still get that great taste but in a fat free milk.

How should I store the product?

Please keep refrigerated (0-5˚C) and store upright. Once opened, you’ll need to consume within 7 days and before the ‘use by’ date shown on the side of the bottle.

How does Arla B.O.B compare with ‘normal’ skimmed/semi skimmed milk?

Semi-skimmed milk is the nation’s favourite accompaniment to a perfect cuppa. That’s because it’s the perfect taste balance between the light, freshness of skimmed milk and the creamy, richness of whole milk.

Arla B.O.B is fat free, like skimmed milk but tastes like semi-skimmed. But how do we do it?! Quite simply, we collect some of the naturally occurring protein in milk, and carefully add more of it back into skimmed milk. It’s this extra protein which makes Arla BOB taste so good, and make a perfect cuppa.

Is it fat free?

Arla B.O.B contains no more than 0.5g of fat per 100g/100ml so is classified as fat free.

Is the packaging recyclable?

Yes! You just need to rinse the bottle and recycle with the cap on.
